Estimate your electricity benefit.
Model onsite energy savings and export credit with your own assumptions.
अपनी खपत और दरों के आधार पर बिजली की बचत का अनुमान।
Read the savings estimate as a set of assumptions.
The value of a solar unit depends on where it goes. A unit used on site can avoid an eligible energy charge; a unit exported may receive a different credit. Fixed charges, minimum charges and local settlement rules can remain relevant.
Illustrative calculation
At 3 kWp and a chosen net yield of 4 kWh/kWp/day, the model estimates 4,380 kWh/year. With 70% used on site, 3,066 kWh are self-consumed and 1,314 kWh exported. At assumed values of ₹8 and ₹3 per kWh respectively, gross annual value is ₹28,470. Subtracting ₹3,000 operating expense leaves ₹25,470.
These values are a worked example, not a tariff or generation forecast. Try lower yield and lower self-consumption to see how sensitive your answer is. Use your DISCOM’s current tariff and settlement terms.
How the estimate works.
Annual generation = kWp × net daily yield × 365. Onsite use = the smaller of generation × self-consumption percentage and annual consumption. Gross benefit = onsite use × avoided tariff + exported energy × export credit. Net benefit = gross benefit − annual operating cost.
Annual averages do not model hourly consumption, seasons, shading, or the detailed DISCOM settlement method. Fixed charges and slab-tariff effects are not included. Export credit is a user assumption, not a promised rate.
